How Okayu handles your Umami connections, credentials, cache and widgets.

App data and connections

This app does not collect personal information, track usage or send analytics to its developer.

Analytics requests go directly from your device to the Umami servers you add. Your server controls the data it stores and its own privacy practices.

Credentials and cache

Login tokens and API keys are stored in the system Keychain. Passwords are used only to sign in. Server settings and cached analytics stay on this device. You can clear cached data or remove a server in Settings.

Widgets and app lock

Widgets can show website statistics on your Home Screen. Their content isn’t protected by the app’s biometric unlock, and hiding sensitive content on the Lock Screen is a system setting, not an unlock. Turning this off, deleting a server or switching accounts removes the widget data; the system may keep showing a previous rendering for a short while.

Optional website icons

Website icons are optional and off by default. If enabled, the app requests icons from your websites and the icon addresses declared by their pages. Those servers receive these requests; their privacy practices apply.

In-app purchases

Optional in-app purchases are processed by Apple. The app checks your purchases with Apple on your device. Okayu’s developer does not receive your name, Apple Account or payment details.

This website

okayu.app counts visits with a self-hosted Umami instance. It sets no cookies and does not store IP addresses. It records the page, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and approximate location, and is not used to identify you. Your language and theme choices are saved in your browser and never leave your device.

We also record clicks on App Store links, together with the article or page, its language and the button’s position. These events help us understand which content leads readers to the store. A click does not tell us whether you downloaded or installed the app.

Contact

For privacy questions, contact Okayu at support@okayu.app. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send so we can respond. Do not send passwords or API keys.
